How did Republicans transition from the Anti Slavery Party of Abraham Lincoln to the anti workers rights Party?

This is an interesting question. Republicans embraced a kind of worship of the wealthy. Workers' rights and issues such as fairness and justice are "wrong" to them. There is a kind of Calvinistic idea that the wealthy are better than everyone.
